Yee Cheng's Biography
"I paint... anything that captures my eyes, excites my mind and sets my mood."

Yeecheng is a senior software engineer at muvee Technologies. Usually doodling away, but once in a while, she does oil painting using painting knife. She enjoys figure sketching with charcoal/pencil, it is a good way to unwind.
Yee Cheng's Collection
This is one of the paintings in my new rabbit series. I want to portray the closeness of my two rabbits and also capture the snapshots of their curious moments. Quick study of flowers with painting knife.

This painting has been exhibited at TRF 3rd annual show, 2006. The artwork is 52cm x 60cm including the frame Last of the apple series.

This time, it's a light-hearted setting where Cutie and Almond embarked on a journey with their beloveds - each other and an apple.

With painting knife, I experimented on rendering simple patterns.

This work is done with painting knife and brush.

I have simplified the subjects to Almond gazing at the plate of apples at a distance, detached. Realistic looking apples enhanced the surreal feel to this painting.

Unlike the whimsical "should i share", this painting has a tinge of melancholy for me. Apple, the one fruit that drive my two rabbits nuts.

For this painting, Almond has his wish granted. Like a kid in a candy store, he has all sorts of apples lined up for grabs. Under normal circumstances they will fight to get every piece, but given the abundance here, he may consider sharing the fruits with Cutie.

This work is done whimsically with painting knife. Quick study of flowers with painting knife.

This painting has been exhibited at TRF 3rd annual show, 2006. Now under my parents' custody. :-)

A view of my living room from the bedroom. I was attracted by the interplay of lines and light. There's a curious hint of activity in this quiet setting.

One of the winning pieces for 2008's 2nd Juried Show held annually by MyArtSpace. Chee Seong and myself did the same image of me stretched out in front of the tv. With our own painting style, both artworks has its distinct flavor. Cutie was included at later stage to make the composition more interesting.

This painting was exhibited in TRF 5th annual show, 2008. Cutie the curious and Almond the laid-back. A typical scene of the two rabbits captured on canvas with painting knife.

This painting was exhibited in TRF 5th annual show, 2008.
